Whilst St. James Academy takes care to ensure the accuracy of the Content, to the extent permitted by law, St. James Academy assumes no legal liability for and does not warrant that the information contained on this website is accurate or complete, or that these web pages will be free from errors or that its availability will be uninterrupted and St. James Academy hereby expressly disclaims and excludes all express and implied warranties terms or conditions not stated herein, so far as such exclusion or disclaimer is permitted under the applicable law. St. James Academy excludes all liability to any person for any loss or damage caused by any errors or omissions, whether such errors or omissions result from negligence, accident or any other cause but this disclaimer is without prejudice to any claims for fraudulent misrepresentation, personal injuries or death.

This privacy policy (this “Policy”) explains how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by St. James Academy (collectively, “St. James Academy,” “we,” “our” or “us”). This Policy applies to visitors and users (individually, “you”) of St. James Academy’s website. By visiting or using the Site to the extent permitted by applicable law, you are consenting to us gathering and processing information about you in accordance with this Policy, although consent may not be required for all of the elements described in this Policy.

Personal Information. By visiting or using the Site, we may collect the following categories of personal information (“personal information”) you provide to us: name; title; email address; postal address; phone number (including your mobile phone number); children’s names; marketing responses; admissions follow-ups; and other information you may provide about yourself to the Site.

We do not proactively collect personal information considered as sensitive personal information such as health-related or financial information on the Site.

If you are an existing St. James Academy family, we will combine this information with information we collect on the Site and use it for the purposes described below.

When you visit the Site or open communications (such as emails), some information is automatically collected from devices (e.g., mobile, computer, laptop, tablet) used to visit or use the Site including, but not limited to, operating system, access times, browser information (e.g., type, language, and history), settings, and other data about your device that we use to provide the services or as otherwise described in this Policy (“device information”).

Location Information. If you use our Site, we may receive your generic location (such as city or neighborhood). We may use and store this information to provide and improve features of the Site, for example, to tailor the Site on a needs-based manner to better facilitate your requests and to provide you more relevant content.

Information You Share Socially. The Site may allow you to connect and share your actions, comments, content, and information publicly or with friends. The Site may also allow you to connect with us on, share on, and use third-party platforms, including those on which St. James Academy has a presence. Please be mindful of your personal privacy needs and the privacy needs of others as you choose whom to connect with and what to share and make public. We cannot control the privacy or security of information you choose to make public or share with others.

St. James Academy takes commercially-reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures designed to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

If credit or debit card account information is being transmitted to the Site or through the Site, it will be protected by cryptographic protocols. To be clear, St. James Academy website does not itself store your credit or debit card account information, and we do not have direct control over or responsibility for your credit or debit card account information. We use third party payment processors that are the controllers of your credit card information.

Nonetheless, we cannot guarantee that transmissions of your credit or debit card account information or your other information will always be secure or that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat the security measures taken by St. James Academy or our third-party service providers.

How we secure your data. Information system and data security is imperative to us to ensure that we are keeping our families and community members’ information safe. We operate a robust process for assessing, managing and protecting new and existing systems which ensures that they are up to date and secure. When you trust us with your data we will always keep your information secure to maintain your confidentiality.

V. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files that can be used by websites to make a user’s experience more efficient.

We collect information about your usage and activity on the Site using certain technologies, such as cookies, web beacons, and other technologies. We and our third-party service providers, and/or partners may also place web beacons for measuring marketing campaigns.

Email. If you do not want to receive marketing and promotional emails from St. James Academy, you may click on the “unsubscribe” link in the email to unsubscribe and opt-out of marketing email communications. IX. Children’s Privacy

St. James Academy is committed to protecting the privacy of children. Our Site is not intended for children under 13 years of age to use without parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we may have collected information about your child, please contact us immediately.
